Looking to cast a line in Orange Beach? That’s what TradeWinds is here for!

Fishing around here will often see you targeting a variety of Snapper, Mackerel, as well as Bonito, Gray Triggerfish, Amberjack, Grouper, and more, depending on conditions. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Feel free to keep any fish you catch, assuming regulations allow it.

If you’re traveling with the family, you’ll be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. A few items you’ll want to bring include sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), snacks, and drinks.

Your boat for the day is a 40’ Walkaround that holds up to 18 passengers. It comes with all the essentials, plus a toilet on board for your convenience. The captain will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing!

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish and make the most of your trip. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% gratuity is customary and much appreciated. Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

Our original trip was planned on the TradeWinds but had to be rescheduled due to bad weather conditions. We were rebooked on the Fairwaters II (which is owned by the same company) for the following day and had an amazing time. We caught plenty of fish and had a great family experience. The crew was very accommodating and helpful. Our deckhand took the time to explain everything to us and we learned a lot about the different types of species of fish. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this charter company for your next fishing adventure!

Perfect for families with younger children!

TradeWinds is the perfect boat for families that have young children. We had 3 boys ranging from 8yo - 5yo as well as two moms and dads plus a Granna. Everyone had an absolute blast. The boat layout was perfect - easy to walk from front to back with great safety protection. It also had ample seating inside with A/C where the kids and adults could take breaks from the sun. The crew (Tristan & Ben) were excellent - polite, patient, friendly, and attentive. They gave us a great mix of fishing and everyone caught a bunch of fish. We will be booking with them again next Summer!

We would do it again!

We did the 5 hour trip and it was amazing! Caught our limit of red snapper, with a few others (vermillion snapper, trigger fish, longfin yellowtail). Was a nice lil mess! Captain Tristian and his first mate, Kyle, were very accommodating, the boat, Tradewinds II, was clean and comfortable. We’d do it again… I look forward to it next year!

Amazing trip!

We have a group of 8 on the tradewonds with captain Tristan and Ben. Ben was great and super helpful with the 13 or old we had with us and help him catch more fish then most of the adults. He also helped out with tips on what to do if you get sea sick which was good to know. I would absolutely recommend these guys for a fishing charter!

Highly recommend tradewinds to anyone looking to make unforgettable memories on the water! Tristan and our deckhand were awesome! It's definitely a day me and my daughter will never forget. Look forward to doing this again next year.
