Start your journey with Legacy Charters! They are located on Cotton Bayou in Orange Beach, Al, and offer fishing trips year round. This charter is operated by Captain Mandy, who's been fishing in the area for a long time. Anglers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join, so hop aboard!
The boat you'll be fishing from is a 40' Michael Fitz that accommodates up to 20 guests. This walk around style boat has lots of deck space, so each angler can fish in comfort. She's powered by twin 330 HP Cummins engines that will help you get to your fishing spot in no time. The cabin is equipped with cold air conditioners and a clean restroom for your comfort, while you and your family enjoy a day of deep sea fishing on the Gulf.
There's lots of trips to choose from. You can find something as short as a 4-hour trolling trip or as long as a 12-hour deep sea fishing. Some of the species you can go after are Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, Amberjack, Grouper, Triggerfish, and more.
Your fishing licenses and equipment are included in the price. You only need to prepare your food and drinks for the day. It is customary to tip the deckhand 20% of the total charter price. Fish cleaning is available at 30 cents a pound. Your catch will be cleaned and packaged for your trip back home.

5 Hour Trip (PM) – Trolling/Bottom on July 27, 2026 • 10 adults • 5 childrenEven though a tropical storm had gone through a few days before and fishing in the area was slow by all reports, we were still able to get on fish. Trolling was a bit slow for a bite but jigging for snapper gave us all a lot of hot action. The captain and deck hand were friendly and helpful making it a memorable experience. Everyone enjoyed the trip.

The captain was great but the two crew members were amazing. They kept hooks baited and took all the fish off the hooks. They were very personable and have lots of fishing storys to share. I wouldn’t be worried about taking my kids on a this boat. It’s a good fit for any group. We had a friend with us that is in a wheelchair and they made sure to make it easy for us and him.

We couldn’t be more pleased with our trip on the legacy. The captain and the deck hand were amazing. We caught alot of fish with a great variety of fish. The deck hand recommended the best seafood restaurant I have ever eaten at to cook our fresh fish that he cleaned for us. We had seven people in our party including one nine year old. The trip was great for all ages highly recommend this charter trip.
