These waters hold game fish like Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Bluefish, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, and more, depending on the season. You can expect to do some spinning, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
The Southern Run is a 24' Bay Rider center console with space for 4 passengers. Call us if you have up to 6! It has all the essentials. The captain will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, which means all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. You can take home some of the fish you catch, assuming they're legal to harvest. There are fish cleaning services at the marina!
It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask.

My daughter in law and I took my 9 year old grandson out for some salt water fishing and man did we catch some fish! Capt Evan did such a great job! We caught a variety of fish and a stingray! He was awesome with my grandson and showing him how to salt water fish and even gave us a beautiful sunset to see. He did such a great job. He was laid back and fun to be around. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
Evan was very friendly and great with the kids/family! He communicated w/ us shortly after booking and was flexible on the departure time on the morning of making it feel less stressful of an early morning trip. We don’t get any bites from big fish but we still had most fun catching bait fish, seeing dolphins, stingray, and a great view of Bodie Lighthouse. We will definitely book with Evan & his team again!

i had my 4 year old whos fished in lakes and my 13 year old whos never been on a boat in the ocean.Evan got us in some great spots out there for some big fish! if your bringing younger kids who havent fished the ocean this is a great place to start your adventure! great time fishing wish i couldve booked a longer trip. i will next time 🤘

no any fault of the captain he kept trying different things to get fish to bite. we had a bad week of weather and rough ocean to deal with. the captain was great. very helpful and worked to try and get us fish.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 30% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
