My wife and I have done a fair amount of charter fishing between Hawaii, San Diego, the Florida Keys, Charleston all over the US and now French Polynesia. We came out for our honeymoon trip and found Franck through fishing booker. This man is easily among the top 3 guides I have ever fished with in terms of effort, equipment, expertise and dedication: and don’t forget hospitality. Many guides are stand-offish, but Franck was our good friend and host from the minute we shook hands. He adapted to our level of experience, really making us part of the team. His boat is a marvel of efficiency, with storage solutions that make it feel like he has space for everything. We used 6+ techniques throughout the day, and made a circle of the island of Moorea in pursuit of our trophy marlin; though we didn’t hook up on this trip, I know we’ll be back. Last thing, he says his English is not so good, but he is certainly fluent, and realistically, we should learn French to visit his home here in the islands. If we had another day, we would go out with Franck again.

My son and I went fishing with Franck the last week of June. We left early in the morning and started catching fish right away. Franck knew all the best spots, so when things started to slow down in one area, we would switch spots, and the fishing would pick back up. I get seasick, and Captain Franck was very accommodating and kept me in mind when the water got rough. He also had a smaller rod for me, so I could just fish for smaller reef fish, while he and my son fished for something bigger. We had a great time and caught lots of fish. Franck is a really nice guy, is funny, and is an overall pleasant person to go fishing with. We’re already planning to go again next year. A note: the marina is very close to the Sofitel, so a 5 minute drive if you are staying there. Next year we are staying at a house, so we can cook our catch! This year we didn’t mind just fishing and enjoying the scenery and Captain Franck’s company.

Franck was an excellent captain and we had a great time on his boat around Moorea. We fished a mix of along the reef and off shore and were lucky to catch plenty of dinner and a Blue Trevally which has always been on our wish list. Franck was very friendly and accommodating and worked hard the entire trip to follow the fish. We would definitely recommend this charter!

Everything was great, caught some fish nothing too big but I wasn’t looking to catch anything huge just wanted to catch something! Captain will make time for what you want to catch & isn’t scared to continue in the rain. Multiple different methods of fishing were used during our trip which lent to catching several different kinds of fish!
