Welcome to Jakes Saltwater offering Saltwater Fishing Charters out of Beautiful Homer AK
We offer several unique fishing trip options, based on our customers desired fishing goals and dreams. We look forward to taking you fishing and making memories that will last a lifetime.
Your Fish will be fillet and ready for package at the end of our trip.
Homer Fish process and Coal point seafood can package and freeze your fish. They also sell airline approved insulated boxes to bring your fish home with you.
Our Vessel the Nauti Nellie was built in 2016 in Roseburg, OR by North River Boats, they specialize in heavy gauge aluminum boats for commercial, recreational and military use. She was designed for Alaskan waters and will keep you dry and warm on our journey to the fishing grounds. While being able to take in all the wildlife and beautiful scenery. Nauti Nellie is powered by twin yamaha 300 outboards and a 25 hp kicker for Salmon trolling. Our vessel is equipped with top of the line electronics and safety equipment. There is a stand up head /restroom aboard
Fishing License are required and can be purchased at several stores in town or online at the Alaska Fish and Game website. Alaskan residents under 18 and non residents under 16 are not required to have a fishing license but will need a harvest card. Fishing license come in several options depending on how many days you plan on fishing. Don't forget your King Salmon stamp if you booked a Salmon Combo trip.
RQE_Recreational Quota Entity Halibut Stamp will need to be purchased from your Captain the day of the trip when Targeting Halibut. Halibut stamps are $20 a client

Jake's salt water adventures killed it for our group! Captain Mark and deckhand Levi were phenomenal.
Great communication with the group and very social.
They communicated every step of the way and put us on Great fish.
Would recommend to anyone looking to fill their freezers and have a smile on their face doing it.
Can't overstate the professionalism and personality of the crew.

Turbulent waters worth the trek
Bears and Halibut on August 15, 2025 • 2 adults
We were hoping to see some bears and take home some halibut - both expectations were met today. Captain Jake was able to navigate very windy choppy waters and get us across. Saw four bears.
Due to the high waves and wind we were not able to fish where we had planned but Jake knew back up options where we still limited for the day. Great trip!

Family adventure and we couldn’t have asked for a better Captain & Crew. Very personable and made us all welcome and they did a great job explaining the process and getting us onto the fish. We left with some nice fillets. If I was to fish Halibut in Homer again, I would not hesitate using Jake again! Great job gentlemen!

“Adventure” was an accurate word for the experience my dad and I had out fishing with Jake. Jake and his deckhand, Weston, were both kind, knowledgeable, and shared in our excitement throughout the trip. We managed to bring in a very large halibut which my dad and I will never forget. Can’t recommend Jake and his crew enough!

We just left Homer after fishing two days with Captain Jake. Captain Jake has a beautiful comfortable boat. He works hard at finding the fish and was extremely personal. I would recommend fishing with him if your in the Homer Spit. We all caught numerous Halibut and had a wonderful two days.
