Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your trip begins aboard an 18' Landau bay boat that can carry up to 3 passengers. A group of 2 adults and 2 kids up to 12 years is also welcome!
It comes with all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

My family and I were down at the beach for vacation and we wanred to book a trip last minute. Captain Jack was exactly what we were looking for. We did channel/inlet fishing for flounder. Captain Jack was very helpful and explained his years of knowledge of fishing and the local region. If you want a nice day on the water for a great price he is your man. would highly recommend for parents with children. Don’t overlook this trip. For the price you cannot beat it.
Captain Jack was patient and informative with our 12 year old daughter. He took us two different places, catching 4 croakers, a 3 smaller flounder, a skate, and even a sand shark. He gave us each different baits (worms, clams, squid, minnows) and then adjusted to what was working best as the day went. We will definitely book again!!
The trip was great for the target audience, children. It is a low key short trip for a reasonable price. If you are an adult looking for trophies, another venue is probably best, but you were fishing within 10 minutes of leaving the dock, so it is great for small kids who cannot travel 2+ hours to get to the fishing location.
Captian Jack was great, kind and friendly. He was also very patient with children. The weather was horrible conditions for fishing but Captain Jack did everything he could. Thats fishing though, sometimes you get a record fish and sometimes you go home empty handed but with a smile and memory.
This was our second trip with Captain Jack and we will book with him every summer until he hangs it up. Captain Jack is patient, friendly and full of knowledge. You can tell he takes each trip serious and does his best to get you on the fish. I won’t disclose his age, you can ask him yourself, but men like him are few and far between nowadays. He’s not boastful and only offers when you ask. Book with Captain Jack and ask him for some stories and you’ll be sure to be entertained.
