Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks!
Capt. Mason welcomes you aboard a 27’ 271 Coastal Skiff with space for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. All the gear and tackle you need is provided.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish and crabs have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. Some essentials to bring are sunglasses and sunblock. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

The boat is dialed in for the bay, its fast and had plenty of room for 3 adults and 2 kids. Mason worked to diversify our experience after getting on a hot bite early. We caught several species and checked a few crab pots on our way in. The boys helped measure (and keep) some big crabs! We had such a good time we booked a second trip for later in the week before the first was over. Mason cleaned and packed up the fish we kept. Great experience for our whole group.

He was incredibly patient, friendly, and amazing with our two kids, making sure they had a great time from start to finish. We caught spot, croaker, flounder, and a few other fish and I even caught a crab on my line... which was a fun surprise! My 10-year-old said it was the best experience he's ever had and that says it all. We highly recommend this trip to anyone. especially families with kids. We'll definitely be back!

He was very accommodating, even with a scheduling error (that was 100% my fault). He took the time to explain to my daughter about the flounder that was caught and cleaned it and everything for her. The weather conditions were less than ideal (high wind) but the vibes were on and we all had an amazing time. If you aren't booking this charter, you are missing out.

We had a great experience with Crab Burner Charters today on a 3-hour fishing trip in the bay. I took my two sons, and as beginners, we weren't quite sure what to expect. Captain Mason immediately made us feel comfortable, explained everything clearly, and had us fishing confidently in no time. Even better, we were catching fish almost right away, which made the trip exciting for all of us. Captain Mason was patient, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. I would highly recommend Crab Burner Charters to anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable fishing trip in the Dewey Beach area.
We had an absolute blast catching crabs with Captain Mason! I originally booked this trip for my little girl’s birthday, but I think I ended up having the most fun. Captain Mason was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and great with kids. He made the experience enjoyable for everyone while teaching us so much along the way. The boat ride was smooth and comfortable, and the pace was perfect for our family. I had my 2-year-old and 5-year-old daughters with me, and they stayed entertained the entire time. It was such a memorable experience, and we can’t wait to come back and do it again!
Captain Nick was great and is very knowledgeable! 3 kids (5, 7, and 8 y.o.) and 3 adults. 2 of the kids didn't want to fish but capt. Nick did a great job keeping up with the rest of us and gave us great tips to be more successful anglers. We bent rods on spot fish and a couple other species, but no keeper fish. We did check 2 crab pots and came home with 11 crabs that were delicious. Highly recommended for kids or newbies who want to wet a line and hook some fish. Not necessarily negatives, but the captain acts as the 1st mate and there isn't a canopy on the boat.
