Looking to catch some fish in Nags Head? Patriot Sportfishing is your ticket!

Yellowfin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, White Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, and more inhabit these waters, depending on conditions. You may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that's dinner!

You'll fish aboard a 55' Offshore sport fishing with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain has rods and reels for you, along with lures.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary. There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip!

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! It's always wise to bring snacks, drinks, sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and a hat. Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

The crew of the Patriot went over and beyond the call of duty to put us on fish.  
Capt. Mitch and Conner did an outstanding job in all respects.  We caught plenty of fish and quite the variety.  There's no doubt in my mind that the Patriot will be our charter for next year's trip.  Bravo Zulu to the Patriot.

Wonderful Experience

I have often heard from people that taking a fishing charter is too expensive. It's not the expense but your experience once you're out on the open water. Captain Mitch and First Mate Bradon provide you with that experience. Captain Mitch provided my family with first-class service. First Mate Bradon took his time to explain every aspect of the equipment and what it was used for. Along the trip, you get to know these two men and have nothing but respect for them. If you are looking for a great time and a truly wonderful experience I would highly recommend the Patriot and its crew, you will not be disappointed.

Blue Marlin

Full Day Trip – Offshore on July 19, 2023 • 5 adults

This was by far the best fishing trip we have been on.
We caught a blue Marlin and it was awesome seeing him come out of the water, just like on TV. Captain and first mate were awesome and they kept us on the fish all day.. if you want a great fishing experience this is the boat that will make it happen

The captain will do everything he can to make sure you have a great day. He had some electrical issues with some upgrades he made to the boat and did not feel safe taking us on an offshore trip. He was very apologetic about the situation and he lined us up to go out on another boat that was not booked for that day, he even came back to the dock and greeted us after the trip to see how our trip went.
