Make some memories in Avalon and go fishing with Avalon Anglers. Captain Martin has over 20 years of experience fishing these waters.
Halibut, Yellowtail Amberjack, White Seabass, Rockfish, Tuna, Yellowfin Mahi Mahi, and more are in the cards if you come at the right time of year. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. You’re free to take home any legal fish you catch. The captain will clean and filet your catch so that you can enjoy it later.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are always a good idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach! There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
You’ll be casting lines from a 24’ Center console with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. It’s always wise to bring sunglasses and sunblock (non-spray).
You could keep reading this, but wouldn’t you rather be fishing with Avalon Anglers?
