From the booking process, to the excellent communication leading up to our trip, and then the trip itself we couldn’t have asked for a better time. Captain David and 1st Mate Frank were top notch. We brought our boys ages 12 & 9 with us. David and Frank were excellent teaching the boys and letting them set the crab traps as well as pull them up to check them. We highly recommended using Nanticoke Outfitters if you’re looking for a charter in Ocean City Maryland.

Capt Dave was great. He explained everything to us before we set out. We drift fished and caught flounder, croaker, sea bass, and my daughter caught a sea robin (flying fish). Everyone caught something. Capt. Dave set us up in the right spots, navigating tide pull and the wind. My wife, who never catches anything even caught 2. When my daughter got her line tangled in the motor, Capt. Dave and crew calmly fixed the problem even as the tide pulled us toward docks.  I would have been freaking out but they were unfazed. After the trip, we asked for some recommendation on a restaurant for dinner. He gave us a great restaurant recommendation as well. If we come back to Ocean City, we will fish with Capt. Dave again.

Captain Dave and crewmate Frank were fantastic to go out into a he bay with. From setting the pick up location the night before to the end of the trip, they made a wonderful memory for myself and my boys, which was their first time out fishing on a boat.

It was a windy day so it made it a little tough to get around, but we made the most of it. We chose the crabbing and fishing combo because we all wanted to set traps and catch crabs since we never have done that before. We got right in a placed the pots and picked them up. The kids loved doing that.

The fish starting biting quick but it also quickly cooled off and we unfortunately ended up with only one keeper, but that’s the luck of the draw. Also only had 10 keeper crabs but that is fine. We had quite a few but most were sponges, or pregnant.

Overall had a great conversation and outing and would choose them again in a heartbeat if we ever get back that way. Such a great setup for a family.

Captain Dave and crew were great!  Gave us the game plan from the start and asked what we were trying to accomplish. Moved to a few different locations and each held fish. He explained the technique of hooking up on flounder and took the time to visually show us(on the first flounder landed) how they lay on bottom to camouflage themselves and feed. Caught at least 10 flounder, lost a few and missed some. No keepers but that wasn’t our goal. We just wanted to enjoy a morning on the water fishing with the kids and hopefully catch fish. Which we did! Very accommodating and would absolutely book again when in Ocean City.

Party of 3 on a Thursday from 9:45-12:45. We caught a ray, some flounder, and a sea bass. The crew was full of personality and knowledge! They are definitely willing to happily assist any angler at any skill rate so that you’re able to come up with a catch! Overall wonderful experience!
One pointer before booking.. KNOW YOUR TIDES! If possible, shoot for a high tide charter!
