Happy New Year, winter is here and the ocean the temps continue to fall. The Tautog are eating well on reefs and wrecks when the weather lets us get out ... the bay temps have dropped from the catching zone and into the fishing zone. Tuna have shown up and are swimming south along our coast. There's also large model Striped Bass (must be within 3 miles and 28" to 31"). If you do not see a trip that suites your needs please get in touch and I will create a custom trip for you.
Make the most of your time in Ocean City and go fishing with Running Tide Charters. Captain Vince or Captain Philomena will be your guide, so you'll benefit from our years of knowledge and experience.
Our waters are known for Flounder, Tautog, Sheepshead, Striped Bass, Bluefish, Spotted Seatrout, Gray Sea Trout (Weakfish), Black Drum, Red Drum, Black Seabass, Gray Triggerfish, Spanish Mackerel, Spadefish, Mahi Mahi, and more.
With any luck, you'll find out for yourself! During the trip, you might be drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, spinning, popping, trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome!
Your boat for the day is a 25' World Cat catamaran with room for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials including rods, reels, bait, tackle, and license.
A deckhand will usually be on each trip and works for tips. The customary minimum tip is 20% depending on your appreciation of their effort.
Just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray) and snacks if desired. Bottled water is provided as part of the trip, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own drinks. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. please avoid glass bottles.

Felt Like Fishing with Friends!

We had such a great time on our fishing trip with Captain Vince and First mate Philomena. Even though the fish weren’t biting much for us, it didn’t take away from the experience at all. Captain Vince was the nicest person you could ask for—patient, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to give us the best chance at catching something, but more importantly, they made the whole trip feel like we were just out with friends for the afternoon instead of with strangers. He tried every spot and made the whole trip fun and relaxing regardless of the catch. We’d definitely go back out with them again and highly recommend!

Our fishing experience with Captain Vince and his crew member Mark was awesome. Really nice people, very helpful and knowledgeable! We had great conversations while fishing like we had known each other for years and they really knew where to find the fish! There were four of us and we all caught fish except my youngest but Captain Vince and Mark worked up until the last second to help him catch one. Even though he didn’t catch one he had a blast and cannot wait until we come back next year! We highly recommend Running Tide Charter!

We really enjoyed our time on Vince's boat. Great conversation and vibe. We did catch a few flounder. Water was a bit choppy from an offshore tropical storm so fishing wasn't great but I'm sure next time we go out, we'll catch a bunch.
Definitely recommend this charter, especially if you value good interactions with your captain. Rods worked well and were rigged up quite nicely. Live bait was a nice touch. Lots of rod holders as well. Just an overall good time.

Fantastic Day on the Water with Vince and Running Tide Charter

My family of five, including my 8-year-old daughters, had an absolute blast with Vince and Running Tide Charter. From the very first phone call, I could tell Vince was professional, personable, and committed to making sure we had a great experience.
We booked a 6-hour ocean fishing trip, and Vince delivered in every way. He put us right on the fish — we caught sea bass, trout, croaker, a skate, sea robins, and plenty of our target species: flounder. We brought home several keepers, including a beautiful 21” flounder!
Vince was great with the kids, kept the energy up, and made the whole experience fun and memorable. We’ve already recommended him to several friends, and if you’re looking to get offshore my family would absolutely recommend Running Tide Charter.
