Young ones are welcome, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. Otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

Captain John's Morning Trophy Trip
Wonderful Fishing Trip
Had a good time with Captain John. Went out on a four hour am trip with 5 adults. Captain John is obviously knowledgeable and been at this a while. Everyone on board was able to reel in a nice sized stripers. Set up 4 trolling lines and waited for the big fish to hit. Largest was 33 inches and we caught several in the high 20's. Although we have been fishing before, we are far from experts. John had to shake his head at us a few times, but was patient. Would have pulled in a few more fish if it wasn't for our own inexperience. John cleaned and fileted all the fish and we had an amazing fish dinner that more than fed our group of 15 we had. I wouldn't hesitate to use John again if we are back in the area.

Successful Day on the lake!
I would definitely recommend Captain John to those looking to book an outing. He put us on the fish right away at our first spot. Caught a load of white bass to get warmed up and then went on the search for stripers which he located quickly on our next spot. We limited out on stripers (2 fishermen) in less than an hour. We then went back to our first spot to get some more white bass until we got our fill. Boat was outfitted nicely, we could have handled 6 fisherman and probably still limited out on strippers. Captain John was friendly and worked the deck with ease even when it was hot activity. He put us right on the fish, his experience showed. Weather was slightly cloudy in low 70's in morning with very little wind. Captain made it easy peasy. A real nice fishing day!

Captain John Delivers.
My son and I booked a trip when conditions weren’t ideal for catching, but persistence paid off. Most of the morning was tough. Fish were plentiful but they just weren’t biting. John tried several places and techniques before we finally found the honey hole. When other guides had long headed for the house, we kept plugging away long after our time was up. We ended up with a fine mess of fish and more memories from a successful day on the water.

Captain John's Evening Trophy Trip
Grinding it out on a tough day!
We went for larger stripers by tolling with downriggers. Fish did not cooperate but Capt John stayed on it for 5 hours looking for schools. Came home with three nice sized bass. Overall great capt and will book again!
