From start to finish, his professionalism and deep knowledge of the water were clear. He made everyone feel comfortable, whether we were seasoned anglers or complete beginners. What really stood out was the easygoing and engaging conversation throughout the day, it felt like we were fishing with an old friend. Captain John’s expertise made the experience smooth and enjoyable, and while we did catch plenty of fish (which was definitely a bonus!), it was the overall experience that made the trip truly memorable. Captain John's Morning Trophy Trip on March 26, 2025 • 2 adultsI would definitely recommend Captain John to those looking to book an outing. He put us on the fish right away at our first spot. Caught a load of white bass to get warmed up and then went on the search for stripers which he located quickly on our next spot. We limited out on stripers (2 fishermen) in less than an hour. We then went back to our first spot to get some more white bass until we got our fill. Boat was outfitted nicely, we could have handled 6 fisherman and probably still limited out on strippers. Captain John was friendly and worked the deck with ease even when it was hot activity. He put us right on the fish, his experience showed. Weather was slightly cloudy in low 70's in morning with very little wind. Captain made it easy peasy. A real nice fishing day!

Captain John's Morning Trophy Trip on September 28, 2024 • 2 adultsMy son and I booked a trip when conditions weren’t ideal for catching, but persistence paid off. Most of the morning was tough. Fish were plentiful but they just weren’t biting. John tried several places and techniques before we finally found the honey hole. When other guides had long headed for the house, we kept plugging away long after our time was up. We ended up with a fine mess of fish and more memories from a successful day on the water.

Captain John was very laid back, super cool guy. He cracked a few jokes with us and answered all of my many questions! Even with the winds being high, he made sure to get us to areas to catch some fish. My husband had a blast and I did too being that I’ve never actually caught a fish before. He definitely made this experience enjoyable!

Even in the conditions John managed for us to get on fish multiple times before they quit biting for the day. Kids had a blast and we will be sure to reach out to John again for our next trip!

All around great experience. The captain finds the fish, and will try multiple ways to get them to bite. My 5 year old daughter had a blast as well, and was entertained the entire time.
