Our captains welcome children aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!

You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It’s always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Blue Rush Charters was amazing!!! Captain Spencer was so great he knew exactly where to go for all the good fish, and was such an amazing help in every way! We even had to reschedule our trip because of lightening, and he rescheduled it on one of his 2 days off out of the month just to make sure we could go out and catch some fish!!! We caught a ton of fish and had such a great time doing it!! We will definitely be booking with Blue Rush Charters again! And we 100% recommend booking it with Captain Spencer you will not regret it!!! If you want to catch a bunch of fish, have a great time, and learn a bunch of knowledge don’t look anywhere else! Captain Spencer is definitely the one to book with!!!

Will definitely book with Spencer again. He was very professional, helpful, and fun to be on the boat with. The weather had the fish feeling a bit off, but Spencer took it in stride and made sure we got my first Red and limited out on trout, one of which was a 27” PB! She was beautiful and super cool to release. My mom and I had a great time. 😄

We had an afternoon trip, if the fish were not biting we moved to a new area pretty quickly. We covered a lot of area and had some success. Spencer knew the area really well and did his best to get us onto good fishing. My whole party had a great time and would certainly fish with him in the future.

Took granddaughters on first fishing trip with son and daughter-in-law. Captain Spencer made sure that girls had a great fishing experience. He was so helpful and worked hard to put us on fish. would highly recommend him to anyone for their next trip. Very knowledgeable with a great personality.

4 Hour Trip – Bay Trip on May 2, 2025 • 3 adults

We fished for two days with Capt Spencer and he made sure we had a great trip. Between planning for the weather, an excellent knowledge of the area and just being fun we had a blast. He got us catching us a variety of fish including trout, black drum, reds and a few others for the icebox. Highly recommend Capt Spencer. I've used guides for 30 years in the area and was glad I was able to meet and fish with him.
