The wild waters of Shady Cove are calling, and Plug’s N Bug’s Guide Service is here to take you to them!
The name of the game around here is fly fishing, which is what you’ll be doing on the day of your trip. You can also do a bit of drifting and maybe more your guide wants to show you. You will be doing a couple of different methods of fish bobber, side drifting, and plug fishing. They are all easy to master and fun.
Here, you’ll have access to local waters, including some honeyholes that only a local guide can show you. Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Steelhead and possibly Coho Salmon. Mathew welcomes anglers of all ages on these trips, including kids.
Any legal fish caught during the trip are yours to take home. Mathew can also clean your catch for you, so it’s hassle-free when you get home. Now that’s a fresh meal! Mathew will guide you through the local waters aboard a 17’ Drift boat that can carry up to 2 passengers and will provide rods and reels.
Everyone in your group should buy a local fishing license ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. Be sure to dress in layers and suitable footwear (if you aren’t sure what that means, just ask). It’s never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock, no matter the weather.
