Spring/Early Summer and Fall are the best times of the year to target numbers of Trophy sized Catfish! We practice catch and release of all trophy-sized Catfish. We Promote the conservation of our natural resources to ensure that people can enjoy this great fishery for years to come!
Predator Getter Outdoors welcomes kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available; otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks and drinks for the journey. The captain will have a cooler on board to keep everything chilled.
Capt. Austin welcomes you aboard a 20' Jet boat with room for 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is included.
You will need to bring a valid PA fishing license and a headlamp to safely navigate around the boat in the dark and to see what you're doing while fighting the biggest fish of your life!
All trips are rain or shine! Bring rain gear! Often times in Catfish season, there can be pop-up storms. Some of the absolute best Catfishing can be on rainy nights with high muddy waters from recent rain.
Wear appropriate clothes for the potential weather. For example, a UV shirt and sunglasses for a daytime trip and a hoody for a night time trip. For early Spring and late Fall excursions, warm layered winter clothes.

Austin was excellent. We didn't catch the monsters we were hoping for but some nice Flathead Cats and a near miss with a big Channel Cat. Austin worked hard to get my Texas grandsons some fish, engaged and informed them, and they walked away with an unforgettable experience. We've already recommended Predator Getters to our neighbors for their grandson.
Our family of 3 went out with Captain Austin for a 5 hour night fishing experience that was incredible. Austin made everything easy - communicated clearly about where and when to meet and he was ready to go with his awesome, comfortable and well-provisioned boat. He thinks of everything, down to having ice in the cooler to chill drinks and black lights that make the lines glow. His expertise is clear, but not all experts can teach as effortlessly as Austin. He is an easy conversationalist that clearly loves what he does- and his enthusiasm spread easily to myself, my wife, and our 14 year old son. Austin answered all our questions, and under his guidance we reeled those catfish in!!! Everything from an 8 pound catfish to over 40 pounds! Several different stops and we caught catfish at all of them! We left the evening with so much respect for this amazing species of flathead catfish. No doubt we will always remember this trip- there is nothing like bringing these huge fish in and then seeing them swim back to their homes. If we could give this trip 100 stars, we would!
Captain Austin is a very experienced fisherman. He is also very willing to change things up to get on fish. He created a family freindly environment for my boys 16 birthday trip. I highly recommend him to anyone.
I really can't say enough about Austin and our trip. First of all, we caught fish, and big ones. But more importantly Austin was such a good coach, was so educational, and his appreciation and respect towards the river and nature is something I really admired. There were 4 of us and Austin not only tolerated our jokes but constantly made sure we were getting the best opportunities to catch fish. If I could give 20 stars I would, and it its obvious why he has so many 5 star reviews. Will. Book. Again.
Austin explained everything very well and got us on fish pretty quick. We caught a decent amount of smaller (seemed big to us) flatheads and then one 25 pounder. Looking forward to fishing with him again. Austin was also very easy to talk to which is more than I can say about our last charter captain.
