Make epic memories in Dunedin and go fishing with Live Like a Local Boat Charters. Their passion is to show you the local Florida lifestyle, spectacular nature, and wildlife. With Captain Angelo as your guide, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
These waters are known for Snook, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Speckled Trout, and more. We are mostly "catch and release" but accommodations can be made if you are looking to bring home fresh catch. Just let Captain Angelo know you are looking to bring home some dinner!
Your day begins aboard a 21’ Tidewater bay boat with a capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as live bait and lures.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Child-sized life vests are available, just let us know if needed. Don’t leave home without snacks, drinks, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. Let us know if you have any requests and we will do our best to make it happen!
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

Incredible Inshore Charter with Angelo – A Day to Remember!

We had an unforgettable 4-hour inshore fishing trip with Angelo and his crew. From the moment we stepped on the boat, they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The action was nonstop — we absolutely slayed the trout and even landed a monster snook, just barely missing the inshore slam!
As an experienced angler, I was impressed with how efficient and attentive the crew was — I never had to wait for fresh bait or help. But what really stood out was how they treated my son and father-in-law, who are both new to fishing. Angelo made sure they felt confident, comfortable, and fully part of the experience. By the end of the trip, they were casting and catching like pros.
Angelo clearly knows the water, the fish, and how to create a great time for everyone onboard. If you’re looking for a top-notch fishing charter that combines skill, professionalism, and genuine hospitality — this is it. We’ll definitely be booking again!

It's called fishing, not catching for a reason...

Being new to saltwater fishing, I had no idea that the best time to fish was related to the tides, unlike where I'm from, it's timed on early morning/late evening for lake/river fishing before it gets too hot. Our charter was early morning at low tide, so the hot spots were not hitting like they do at high tide.
Regardless, we loved being out on the water and were there for the experience and Angelo did not disappoint. I love that he took the time to share his knowledge with my son and we learned interesting history and facts about the area.
We ended up booking another charter with Angelo for my son the next day at high tide, and the catches started coming in.
Angelo cleaned and bagged our catch for us to to take home and enjoy and provided some tips on the best way to cook it up. It sure was tasty!!
Thank you so much, Angelo, for the amazing time! We enjoyed every moment and appreciate all the effort you put into making it special for my son. Now that I understand the timing of the charter to the tide, we will definitely plan our next one better. See you soon!!

We went on a 2 hour fishing trip and loved every minute of it! Captain Angelo and Justin were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly enjoy what they do. They set us up quickly, and took us to areas where the fish were biting. We caught several fish, and enjoyed red fish for dinner that Captain Angelo offered to filet for us. Thank you for a great experience, and we look forward to a longer trip next time.

My son and I had a great morning out on the water with Captain Angelo. He worked very hard to provide a great day for us despite difficult fishing conditions and uncooperative fish! He was extremely well-prepared for us with a variety of equipment and some great live bait fish ready to go. I appreciate all the different locations we tried in order to get the fish biting. We would definitely consider booking with him again the next time we return to the area!
