JRB Sportfishing 

Being our first charter trip on the big lake, we weren't certain what to expect, and Captain John and his first mate exceeded all expectations! The boat was clean and open with plenty of seating and room to move around. The equipment was top notch and the crew were extremely skilled and efficient in explaining the processes and assisting with the catch. We caught a King Salmon, 2 Coho and 5 Steelhead - expertly cleaned and bagged by the crew when we arrived back at the dock. 20lbs of delicious salmon for the freezer, plus some amazing memories and good fun in the process. They were especially considerate and kind with me when I struggled with motion sickness due to the waves and my own proclivity for it, providing help and being extremely considerate. Delightful conversation as well, very pleasant to spend an afternoon with! It was my birthday and Captain John gave me a small gift which was unexpected and extremely thoughtful. 10 out of 10 would recommend this charter both for the fantastic crew and the highly successful catch!

Captain John put us on fish right away and kept the action going for the entire trip. First mate Chris did an excellent job keeping all lines in the water and kept them from getting tangled when we had doubles on. We landed doubles three times. We brought home over fifty pounds of Salmon fillets which is exactly what we had hoped to catch. Highly recommend JRB Charter!

Captain John and his First Mate made this an unforgettable day on Lake Michigan! They were incredible with the kids, making them feel involved and excited from start to finish. We caught some absolutely huge salmon, and the action was nonstop. Their knowledge, professionalism, and great personalities made the entire experience epic. The only way to describe this fishing trip was purely awesome from the beginning to the end. The captain and Chris made us super comfortable throughout the whole trip. We didnt have a lot of fishing experience and they explained everything very clearly and had lots of patience with us. We caught 9 huge king salmon which was amazing. Don’t think twice about booking, just do it you won’t regret it!!!

This is a great fishing charter. we caught 5 king salmon and hooked a few more. The captain and crew were great, a lo of fun, and told some great stories. I would highly recommend this charter.

Caught Salmon, king and steelhead. The captain put us on the fish right away. The deckhand/first mate made a few minor adjustments with the rigging and BOOM! We started catching fish. We limited out within the first few hours. I highly recommend JRB Sportfishing for future fishing trips.

Captain Johnny and Chris put us on fish and did a great job talking us through landing the salmon. They even helped with my dead vehicle battery after the trip and followed up to see that we made out ok with the car problem. I would highly recommend JRB Sportfishing.

captain john and first mate chris are pure class. there knoledge and experience allowed us to land 12 fish in the boat. there main concern is for the people in the boat and they work hard to make sure they catch fish and have a great charter experience. very recommended

We caught some fish and had some fun. Not a ton of fish but they were very patient with my kids and taught them how to catch salmon. We learned about the lake and good conversation. Very knowledgeable crew and worked hard to keep us catching fish.

My Wife and I both retired took our 13 year old grandson out with Captain John. It couldn’t have been a more fun, exciting and successful trip. Will highly recommend and most likely go again though it’s a bit of a distance from our MN home.
