If you're in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Off The Hook Charters. Our captain has a passion for fishing and loves helping families make great memories out on the water.
These waters are known for Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, Flounder, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Pompano, Blacktip Shark, and more, all depending on seasons and migratory fish patterns. Fish caught during the trip are yours to take home, so long as they're within the legal limit.
On the day of your trip, depending on weather conditions, you may venture out into the Gulf and fish nearshore (within 3 miles of the beach) or may stick to the Mobile Bay area. If you book during the Red Snapper season, you will fish for Red Snapper in state waters (within 9 miles of the beach)
Your capt. will bring you aboard a 24' Bay boat that carries up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide fishing licenses, bait, equipment, and tackle for you. He will also handle fish cleaning. It is pretty customary to add a gratuity for this service. Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests (9 and under), so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. It's always wise to bring snacks, sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. please avoid bringing any glass bottles.

Our Captain, Perry, was very patient, calm, and welcoming. He brought his son along with him as a deck hand and he was adorable. We started out trying to cach some Trout and when we caught our limit we tried for some flounder. my wife caught 2 and I hooked a spanish Mackerel. The captian knows what he’s doing, so be patient and trust the process. Thanks alot for this unforgettable trip.
Don't think twice about booking with Capt. Sawyer. Just do it! Young captain with a passion to get you on the fish and maximize the opportunity. I booked a 4-hour trip with my family, including my wife, 14-year-old daughter, and 16-year-old son. The wind took a bit of a turn right before our trip, but Capt. still took us out to "take a look," and we ended up still maxing out on Spanish Mackeral. Capt. did all he could to salvage the trip and get us on the fish. He was very patient, respectful, and helpful. We tried fishing at a platform for bigger fish, but the current was too strong. Thank you, Capt. Sawyer and we highly recommend.
We had a great trip. Our captain was Drew and he did a tremendous job of putting us on the fish! From what we heard from other boats it was kind of a slow day but Drew kept us in the fish and we just nearly reached our limit. Thanks Drew! We will be back!
Booked a birthday trip for my son with sawyer. ive been on several trips and guided hunts but I can tell ya, sawyer is one of the best and most respected young men I've ever had the privilege to go out with. He put us on fish right out of the gate, then went after trophy fish after a quick limit.hes got great patience with people. We fought a fish of a lifetime for over an hour and he was there every crank of the reel with positive motivation and help when it got tough. I'd recommend sawyer and off the hook guided service to everyone i know looking for a great experience.

This was fun for everyone in our group. We had two fishing and two just riding along. David was a great Captain. Despite less than ideal weather conditions, he found places for us to fish and we had a great time.
