We chose later departure out of Shilshole. Left at 10:30 am with Captain Zach. Got out to spot around 11:00 am and then proceeded to crush it. 13 fish on over 2.5 hours. Limited on coho by 2:30. Also caught 3 huge kings that we released. The Kraken is awesome boat and all equipment top of line. Zach was awesome. Will fish with them again.

We booked this Lingcod trip for my husband's birthday. it could not have been any better. The weather was fantastic. Zach and Daniel were great. Everything was explained clearly. They worked tirelessly keeping poles rigged, getting us to promising spots. We caught 1 35" and 1 33" Lincod. They were friendly and informative. We will be rebooking in the future.

I had an outstanding experience with Captain Paul! From our very first interaction, he was incredible with my 7-year-old son. He took the time to explain safety procedures thoroughly and made sure my son felt comfortable and excited about the adventure. We caught a lot of flounder from the very first time we set out a rod. Even when we had to move a couple of times due to Dogfish (sharks) following us, Captain Paul made it enjoyable. We ended up staying in our last spot a bit longer because we were having so much fun catching them. His dedication to making our trip both exciting and educational was truly remarkable. Highly recommended for a memorable and family-friendly fishing experience!

The boat and equipment are top notch. Captain Zach is a true professional. It was my first time fishing for salmon and Captain Zach went above and beyond to put us on the fish. I would book with them again without a doubt. I was able to catch my limit including a huge Chinook that I shipped home to Texas. Great experience all the way around.

We had a great time with Captain Paul and Zach on our fishing trip. They were very professional and very personable which made the 6 hour excursion very enjoyable. The boat was perfect with all the equipment and outfitting required for a great day on the water fishing, The salmon were slow as expected but he got us into the Flounder and it was an absolute blast. We even had the unique opportunity of seeing a pod of Orcas in the distance. I would highly recommend using them for your next trip. A++++

Capt. Paul Kim is a true Renaissance man well skilled in many areas of life! His engaging professionalism and very personable demeanor immediately put our grandson at ease with heading out into deep water for his first PNW fishing trip. Capt. Kim patiently explained his every move to us all and focused his efforts on making sure everyone enjoyed a very safe and productive adventure. Our grandson caught the first flounder (which he wanted Capt. Kim to cook right then, and right there), the largest flounder, and the first of two dogfish (sharks). We were all very impressed by this solid, and well-planned locally built vessel of his own design. The entire trip was comfortable and smooth, and we felt very safe on his vessel. We are extraordinarily grateful to Capt. Kim making this a trip we will all talk about for years. We are blessed to have selected Capt. Paul Kim as our guide and mentor for our grandson's first fishing trip and really look forward to our next visit which we will plan with red salmon fishing in mind. Thank you, Capt. Kim, for a great trip, we will be back!

Took my nephew and 10 year old son Salmon fishing with Capt Paul Kim and had the best fishing experience ever. Capt Kim and his first mate Zach were the best. They were flexible, patient and taught the boys a lot about fishing which was an added benefit to catching our limit within 1 1/2 hours!! I really wanted a hands on experience for my 10 year old and Nephew and Capt Kim and Zach made sure we had that experience and more. They were patient with our inexperience while being supportive of the two boys at all times. We couldn’t ask for more. Scheduling was super easy and Capt Kim offered multiple suggestions to make sure we had a great experience. He was quick to respond and always seemed focus not on his own plans for us but on what we wanted to experience and how he could get that experience for us. There’s no doubt we will be back and only with Capt Kim. Now we know exactly who to contact when we come back to Seattle.

First and foremost, Captain Paul puts you ON THE FISH. I caught my limit of Central Puget Sound coho salmon fishing off Richmond Beach, just a short trip from Shilshoal Marina. Paul has decades of experience fishing the coasts of Washington. Paul is a great guy, very friendly and engaging, and fantastic teaching kids to fish. I am a Coast Guard Captain, and I have done a lot of charter fishing trips. Hands down, Paul is the most knowledgeable fisherman I have sailed with regarding the biology, lifecycles and food web of targeted species. He knows everything there is to know about the local marine life, and it shows in his ability to catch fish. Paul had his boat custom built and is state of the art. You will be impressed with how clean and tidy his boat is, and how efficiently he can rig his lines. He walks you through every step to make sure you land all the fish you hook. This is really important when following the barbless hook regulations from Washington Fish and Game. You and your friends and family will have a great time fishing with Captain Paul Kim!
