Step aboard the largest boats in the fleet—a 32’ aluminum charter built or a 30’ custom aluminum charter Boat for comfort, space, and a great day on Puget Sound. With room for up to six guests, it’s ideal for families, first-time anglers, and seasoned fishermen alike. Twin 300HP Yamaha engines deliver a fast, smooth ride, so you spend more time fishing and less time getting there.
The boats are designed so everyone can be part of the experience. A full walk-around deck lets you follow the action from any angle, while generous storage keeps gear out of the way. Inside, there’s comfortable seating for all passengers and a private onboard bathroom, making it easy for guests of all ages to relax and enjoy the trip.
You’ll target iconic Pacific Northwest salmon—king (Chinook), coho (silver), and pink—using proven techniques like trolling and mooching. Whether it’s your first time holding a rod or you’ve fished for years, the crew will guide you through every step. When a fish hits, you’re in the fight.
Between catches, take in the scenery. Puget Sound often delivers unexpected highlights, from seals surfacing nearby to whales passing in the distance.
At the end of the trip, the captains clean and fillet your catch, so you leave with fresh salmon ready for a true local meal.
Dress in layers and bring rain gear. Weather can change, but the boat offers plenty of shelter to keep you comfortable.
This trip combines fishing, wildlife, and time on the water into one experience—easy to enjoy, exciting to be part of, and memorable for every guest on board.

it was my sons 18th birthday and he wanted to catch some salmon so we booked a trip with Seattle Soortfishing Charters. Captain Mike was just a down to earth, knowledgeable guide who went above and beyond for the six of us. We were consistently on the fish and brought in some dogfish (and tossed them high and far once off the hook😂), and tons of Kings and Coho. You always want to create memorable experiences for your kids and this was definitely one that none of us will forget. I would not hesitate to book Captain Mike and Seattle Sportfishing Charter again - we had a blast!

thanks JB! glad you and your family had a great day!
Our afternoon salmon charter with Seattle Sportfishing Charter and Captain Cary could not have been more perfect for my husband, myself and our two college-aged boys! We all had a blast catching Coho + King salmon throughout the afternoon. We had never fished for salmon before but Captain Cary never stopped watching our lines and giving us pointers the entire trip. We all loved his personality, his boat and our time spent out on Puget Sound. I would recommend Seattle Sportfishing Charter to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience fishing for salmon in Seattle!

thank you so much Kimberly! it was great spending the afternoon with you and your family!
Captain Cary is truly the best — he made our experience so wonderful!! We did the afternoon 4-hour trip and it was a perfect amount of time for us, perfect weather, and we all caught a ton! Had to throw back a bunch of king salmon but we each caught 2 coho which was the max we were legally allowed to. Captain Cary really knows where to take you and what equipment to use, and he’s so nice. At the end of the trip he cleaned it all and cut it up for us to take home and we had it for dinner + shared with our friends and family. We all left saying we had even more fun than we thought we would, and we would definitely book with Cary again!!

thank you Tara! it was great spending the afternoon with you and your family! your grandma was the best and I really enjoyed the trip

we had such a wonderful trip, they started out cloudy and when we casted the first line out the sun began to cut through the clouds. This was the wife first time ever fishing and she was able to check her limit on Coho which was amazing. Captain Cary was wonderful gave us tips and information. He was wonderful with the 2 kids on board and let them help out whenever he could. Everyone was able to catch their limit on the boat. Would highly recommend booking this trip if you are near seattle, doesnt matter if you are a pro or beginners, it is a great experience.

thanks so much TJ! its was a great afternoon on the water!
It was a beautiful day out on the water, and the salmon were cooperating. We had 4 in the boat within two hours, then relocated to an even better spot and rounded out our full quota before we knew it. Couldn't ask for a better crew! Thank you, Capt. Cary.

thank you Tue! its was great spending the morning with yiu and Anders!
Captain Cary Hofmann has been fishing ever since he can remember, and his passion took him Salmon fishing all over the Pacific Northwest. After a while, he decided to turn this enthusiasm into a calling and so he became a charter captain in 2013. Capt. Cary loves talking about everything fish-related, and always tries his best to teach his customers something new.
