If you’re ready to enjoy fishing in Herradura, we’ve got you covered with American Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Yemery offering years of local experience. We have added Star-Link Wi-Fi so you can always be in touch.
Species like Mahi Mahi, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks – luckily, Capt. Yemery will have some on board!
You’ll be welcome aboard a 28’ Topaz offshore sport fishing powered by 2026 twin 240 hp yanmar that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks provided on board.

Despite extremely rough seas and steady rain, we still had a fantastic time. The weather was completely out of everyone’s control, but the captain and crew never stopped working hard to give us the best experience possible. Their determination paid off when we landed several impressive roosterfish measuring well over 42 inches. What really stood out was the professionalism and dedication of the crew. They were incredibly respectful, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and taken care of throughout the trip. There were always plenty of drinks and snacks available, and they consistently checked on everyone to make sure we were doing well despite the challenging conditions. Their expertise, positive attitude, and commitment to customer service made all the difference. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a hardworking, experienced crew that truly cares about providing a great fishing experience, no matter what Mother Nature throws at them. Five stars all the way!
Overall fantastic experience!! The crew was top notch. Captain put us on fish within the first hour. We caught 5 Huge sailfish and Landed 2 mahi. They filleted the mahi on the warer and we had it for lunch. YUM!! After the 3rd sailfish, Captain asked if we wanted to get in the water with it! Yes please!!! What an experience! Would definitely recommend these guys. Very professional and great people.
Guide and deckhands were excellent. We caught plenty of fish and also got treated very well by staff and captain. I would definitely do this again.
Captain Jeremy and first mate Chaka were incredible to say the least. They constantly worked hard all charter while giving excellent service with drinks and snacks. I did the offshore fishing charter and was able to catch two sail fish (Velas— en espanol)
Booked half day trip for Rooster fish. The Captain amd crew were great. The boat was comfortable and in good shape. We didn't have any luck catching any Roosters, but it wasnt from a lack of trying. We knew it was a slow week for catching them. Would definitely book with them again.
Grew in Miami Florida fishing the keys and Bahamas. I have won many of tournaments in the States and Bahamas. My fishing is a passion not a job.
