If you’re ready to experience fishing in Sterling, book a trip with Reel Sunset Fishing Charters. With Captain Laxton at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
These waters are known for Steelhead, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Atlantic Salmon, Lake Trout, and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" For these species, you’re likely to troll using light or heavy tackle. The catch will be shared with the crew, and they will clean yours so you can enjoy it later.
You’ll be welcome aboard a 30’ Boston Whaler that holds up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials, plus a toilet on board. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must be strong enough to reel in large fish.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can’t go wrong when you bring snacks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Non-alcoholic drinks are included, but feel free to also bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that daydream into a reality with Reel Sunset Fishing Charters.
