Lured Away Sportfishing

These waters are home to Walleye, Steelhead, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Yellow Perch, and more with any luck. For these species, you’re likely to troll using light or heavy tackle. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned.

Capt. Stephen runs a 29’ Cuddy cabin with room for 6 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Stephen will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Children are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. It’s always wise to bring snacks, drinks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
