Peacock Bass and Tarpon Tours
One of our top picks in Loíza. Peacock Bass and Tarpon Tours provide customized fishing charters in the calm and protected backwaters of San Juan. Located just five minutes away from the San Juan International Airport, these waters are ranked as one of the top five places to fish for species such as Tarpon, Snook, Jacks and more, and they also host Iguanas and Manatees for the enjoyment of everyone on board.
You will be seeking out Tarpon and Snook in the backwaters of San Juan aboard a fully rigged, state of the art 18 ft Silver King boat. This classic flats skiff provides everything you need for battling the ‘Silver King’ that it was named after, featuring electronics to help your captain find the fish, a large bait well, a poling platform, and a wide deck to give you all the space you need to bring in a Tarpon, and it comfortably accommodates up to four people.
While you will primarily be targeting Tarpon and Snook, you will also be in with a chance of catching Jacks, Barracudas and Mangrove Snappers. Whether you are an experienced angler hoping to catch a trophy Tarpon or a novice looking for a fun day on the water, Peacock Bass and Tarpon tours will welcome you aboard and create a trip to suit your needs. They also offer a safe environment in which kids can learn to fish on these quiet waters, and love to teach children how to catch the big ones.
The company’s main goal is for you and your family to have a relaxing and fun day fishing around San Juan and for you to walk away having had the experience of a lifetime. They also offer guided trips targeting Peacock Bass and Tiger Bass aboard a separate vessel.

Good trip, great captain, nice boat. We hooked four tarpon ranging in size from 40 to 100 lbs. Lost them all but had a fine time. Awesome fish, beautiful estuary. We’ll get ‘em next time.

I took my 10 year old son out with captain Paco to try our luck with peacock bass and we weren’t disappointed. He was able to put us on fish and we enjoyed the morning with him.
