Your trip begins aboard a 28' Super Panga with room for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips, and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip. The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be drinks and snacks available on board, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
