North Pier Charters
Excited to go fishing in Superior? Make it happen, with North Pier Charters! With Captain Ben at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands. We do fish in MN waters only, so you will need to have a MN fishing license and Great Lakes stamp.
Atlantic Salmon, Walleye, Chinook Salmon, Lake Trout, Coho Salmon, Brown Trout, and more are in the cards, depending on when you go.
For these species, you’re likely to troll using light or heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 34’ Cruiser with room for 6 passengers. It has downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.
You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s recommended to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with North Pier Charters.
