Make an adventure out of your next trip to Bokeelia and go fishing with Captain Mark’s Fishing. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Mark can tell you all about the local fishery.

These waters are known for Great Barracuda, Hammerhead Shark, Bull Shark, Blacktip Shark, Lemon Shark, Tiger Shark, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Gag Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Red Grouper, Gray Triggerfish, and more. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

You’ll find yourself aboard a 22’ Center console with space for 6 passengers and a restroom. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Mark has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. Bringing snacks, drinks, sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses is never a bad idea. Ice will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

Awesome Captain!!

Half Day Trip – Shark on March 1, 2025 • 5 adults

Communication was great. We actually went on Tuesday, not Saturday cuz Mark didn’t like the weather for Saturday. Captain Mark was all ready for us when we got there at 8am. He explained where everything was onboard in case we needed something. He was very informative about other boats and houses along the canal leading to our destination. I booked the shark fishing for my 14 yr old son and he thoroughly enjoyed talking with Captain Mark and soaking up all the information he could from him! On our way back into land, we spotted a couple dolphins and Mark got them to play in the wake of the boat. It was so breathtaking to see them play like that. Even though we didn’t get to catch a shark, it was hands down the best part of our vacation to be hanging with Captain Mark out on the Big Blue! Thanks for a great experience Mark and we will definitely be doing it again in the future!! 100% recommend this captain!!!

Full Day Trip – Shark on March 22, 2025 • 4 adults

Really friendly and gived good informatios. I catched my first shark.. 300 pounds. Nothing toncompare with freshwater fishing. ;) Really respectfull with and fauna. We had a wonderfull day Vraiment gentil et donne de l’information utile. M’a permis de pecher mon oeemier requin citron de 30 livres. Très respectueux avec nous et la faune. Merveilleuse journée

Fishing with Mark

Half Day Trip – Reef on January 30, 2024 • 3 adults

A very timely captain who took his clientele into account. We caught many snapper and grouper on our excursion. We are novice fisherman who he coached well. We also hooked up with one large shark and caught a juvenile tiger shark. Weather was less than ideal, initially, and he did his best to make up for it. If you want a captain who values the ocean, has a love for marine aquatics, and isn’t afraid to share his wealth of knowledge…this is your guy, We were very happy with our day and look forward to fishing with Captain Mark again!!!
