The waters of southwestern Ontario hold a variety of popular game fish. I target Walleye all season, but also target Yellow Perch and Panfish. We target Walleye by jigging primarily in the spring and fall, and trolling during the summer. Still fishing is the primary method for perch and panfish.
Ice fishing on Long Point bay is also available thru Bear Bones Fishing Charter!
Mike is happy to have kids aboard, so go ahead and bring the family along! The boat has space for up to 4 passengers Rods and reels are provided, as well as lures and live bait (if needed).
It is necessary to have a fishing license for everyone in your group (if older than 18 or younger than 65). Sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses would be good to bring. Alcohol is not allowed.

Rainbow abd walleye limit within 2 hours. Fish fry by dinner. Cannot beat the experience

Excellent communication from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed with a thorough and safety-focused familiarization tour of the boat upon arrival, which set a great tone for the day. Everything was well-organized and ready to go. The captain took time to discuss our preferences regarding catch and release vs. keeping fish, which we appreciated. He also cleaned and bagged the fillets for easy transport at the end. Overall, a great experience — I would definitely recommend and book again!

My name is Mike and I'll be your fishing guide. I've been fishing for over 30 years and this activity has provided me with some of my fondest memories. Whether it be trolling for Walleye with my grandfather on Lake Erie, catching Lake Trout with my dad up north, or putting minnows on hooks for hours on end while my 2 girls caught Perch and Panfish. Now I have the privilege of owning my own boat and would like to help others create such memories. As the company name states, we do bare-bones fishing. We use a small boat, basic electronics, and simple fishing rigs. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned fisherman who wants to get on the water, book with Bear Bones Fishing!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
