Depending on conditions, you might hook into Cobia, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Pompano, Red Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Gray Triggerfish, Mangrove Snapper, Black Drum, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Redfish, and whatever else takes the bait.
During the trip, you might be light tackle fishing, bottom fishing, or something more specialized in this area. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that's dinner!
You'll find yourself aboard a 25' Center console with a capacity for 4 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Children are welcome aboard, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. It's always wise to bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
