Puerto Vallarta has a fish with your name on it, so let Pesca En Vallarta help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain César Marcelino, giving you access to years of knowledge and experience.
Species like Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Atlantic Mackerel, Black Marlin, Cubera Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Roosterfish, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. César Marcelino can also help you try kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing and bowfishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
You’ll step aboard a 32’ offshore sport fishing that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
