Lake Erie is a fantastic fishery, home to Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Freshwater Drum, and Steelhead, which are stocked. There are many other species in Lake Erie also. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Joseph also offers fly fishing.
You'll be fishing from a Ranger 622 Pro Deep-V fishing boat that is outfitted for all aspects of fishing. The boat comfortably fishes 4 people. It has Livescope, leading electronics and all the essentials. Rods, reels, tackle, and any bait are covered by the charter. You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring rain gear, sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid glass bottles.
Fishing takes place across the south border of lake Erie. Boat launch locations go from oak harbor, Ohio to Ashtabula, Ohio. Depending on the time of year and best fishing available. Boat is trailered.
If you have any specific requests or want to know if something can be accommodated, please ask Capt. Joe.

We did a delayed Fathers Day trip for walleye with Capt. Joe, and we had an awesome time! He had us on the fish quickly and kept us moving...and he was a wealth of knowledge about Lake Erie and walleye fishing in general. Definitely something we'll remember for a long time!
Joe was a great guide! He was extremely accommodating, and made the experience one we won’t soon forget. On a difficult day of fishing due to recent bad weather, he never rested making adjustments and changing out lures and depths until we found success. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and certainly ran circles round our very basic fishing knowledge. Truly a professional. We’ll be happy to head out on another fishing day just as soon as we can get back to the area. Thanks Joe!
Captain Joe was fully committed to ensuring our experience was excellent and we caught as much fish as we wanted. Nice guy and great trip.

Great experience..Joe had us on the fish immediately and was wonderfully organized with attention to detail. Highly recommend!
Afternoon trip out…..Joseph worked very hard and put us on the walleye and we got our limit of fish.

Fishing has been my passion since I was a young boy. That passion led to serious fishing during high school. After high school, I began guiding professionally in Alaska and Ohio, and I've been doing what I love every day since.
