On The Swing, LLC is a multi-species guide service based in northern Ohio. Looking to catch some fish in northern Ohio? Then On The Swing has a trip with your name on it! Captain Joe is prepared to put you on fish.
Capt. Joe has been a professional fishing guide for over a decade, with experience from Ohio to Alaska and back. Your Captain is not just another guy with a captain's license, Joe is a die-hard fisherman/guide who enjoys showing customers a great time on the water. A professional atmosphere, along with expert knowledge, ability to teach, and safety are standard.
Lake Erie is a fantastic fishery, home to Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Freshwater Drum, and Steelhead, which are stocked. There are many other species in Lake Erie also. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Joseph also offers fly fishing.
You'll be fishing from a Ranger 622 Pro Deep-V fishing boat that is outfitted for all aspects of fishing. The boat comfortably fishes 4 people. It has Livescope, leading electronics and all the essentials. Rods, reels, tackle, and any bait are covered by the charter. You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring rain gear, sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid glass bottles.
Fishing takes place across the south border of lake Erie. Boat launch locations go from oak harbor, Ohio to Ashtabula, Ohio. Depending on the time of year and best fishing available. Boat is trailered.

We had the best time. Capt Joe was super knowledgeable and helped us with everything. Boat was clean and the ride was smooth. 100% will be going out with him again!

Joe was a great guide! He was extremely accommodating, and made the experience one we won’t soon forget. On a difficult day of fishing due to recent bad weather, he never rested making adjustments and changing out lures and depths until we found success. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and certainly ran circles round our very basic fishing knowledge. Truly a professional. We’ll be happy to head out on another fishing day just as soon as we can get back to the area. Thanks Joe!
Even though we booked a four hour trip we caught our limit in one hour and fifteen minutes. We only got a few walleye too small to keep and zero bycatch. We got a few very large walleye. The captain was very knowledgeable and helpful and put us on fish almost nonstop. The ride out was eleven miles and a little bit intense. Overall the trip was a lot of fun and very successful.

Me and my family booked this trip while on vacation from out of state and had a great time. Joe was extremely knowledgeable about the lake and the fish. He had a lot of cool electronic equipment on the boat and nice fishing gear. He was patient and very good about explaining about how to do things without taking over, which was a nice experience for us.
Walleye were biting !!!!!
