If fishing in Cleveland is on your bucket list, look no further than Hook’in Hogs Fishing Charter. Your guide for the day is Captain Mike, offering years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Walleye, Yellow Perch, and anything else that bites. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Your adventure begins aboard a 19’ Bass boat that holds up to 3 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself. Kids are welcome.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
Some essentials to bring are snacks, drinks, sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

Fishing with Mike
Captain Mike was a great guy! He knew exactly which location to head to in order to catch the most amount of fish in a timely manner while still allowing us to enjoy our trip. Captain Mike did a fantastic job of teaching us about what we had caught and why some of the fish were in the particular location that they were. I would've liked to have the other experiences of casting, setting the line, and hooking the fish in addition to reeling them in. Overall, this was a great experience for me and my boys and I would recommend Hookin' Hogs to others who are interested in fishing!

Will definitely book with Mike again next time I'm in Cleveland. I don't know how it could have been better. Fast action, nice equipment, and boat, all I had to do was show up.

Why charter with anyone else?
Captain Mike was incredible knew exactly where the fish were knew exactly how to handle. It knew exactly how to set things up was very patient with two very inexperienced fisherman and didn’t give up even when it got a little slow. My Son and I had a great experience great bonding and did exactly what he wanted to do. Catch fish.
