Around here, the fishing is popular for Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, Gray Triggerfish, Vermilion Snapper, Gag Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, and more if conditions are right. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Capt. Lathan will bring you aboard a 42’ Sport fishing boat with room for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. The crew will catch live bait for you before the trip.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 20% tip is customary to show appreciation for their hard work. The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Legacy Charters is a kid-friendly charter service, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Children must provide and wear their own USCG-approved life vests. You can’t go wrong when you bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Just be sure to avoid glass bottles.

WONDERFUL TRIP! This was the first fishing trip for my sister and me so we didn't really know what to expect, but Captain Lathan and his crew, Jackson, eased our apprehension by their professionalism and knowledge. However, what was most impressive to both of us was their determination that we should catch the fish ourselves! Just when we were about to give up on a fish when it became too difficult for us to reel, we would hear "REEL, REEL, REEL! ", and we would reel harder. That encouragement gave us the extra strength to catch our own fish, which made the trip more exciting for us - two women old enough to be the Captain's grandmother!

Great Day of Fishing

Went out on July 4th for a half day trolling with Captain Lathan and Mate Jackson with my wife and son (12). Boat location is easy to find and near the fishing area for near shore fishing so no lost transit time. We had an exceptional experience and caught over 40 fish. The crew was very knowledgeable and gave us pointers and suggestions along the way. We would certainly go back out with them and suggest you give them a try.

Non stop fishing!

Our teenage son wanted to catch fish on vacation and this was the perfect tour to do so! The crew was ready on arrival and we fished from the time we left the dock to the time we returned. Lost count of how many fish we caught but the action was non-stop. The crew was available to make the experience a great one! Would definitely book again!

This was an incredible trip and experience. We managed to catch a few fish and had a great time. Not only did they provide us with an excellent fishing trip, but they also went above and beyond to save the day. When our sons’ hat blew off, they went the extra mile to retrieve it. We truly appreciate the exceptional service and the memorable day we had.
