Catch 22 Charters
There's a fish with your name on it in Destin, and Catch 22 Charters will help you catch it! Military veteran ,Owner and operator , Captain John will be your guide, bringing aboard years of angling experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Amberjack, Cobia, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Almaco Jack, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Gray Triggerfish, Wahoo, and anything else that bites. On the day of your trip, you're likely to troll and bottom fish.
You'll be casting lines from a 24' Sea Fox Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Trips with Catch 22 Charters are child-friendly, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid glass bottles.

Greatest day fishing ever!
Captain John was very professional, knowledgeable and a all around good guy, he made fishing a great experience for myself and my girlfriend,she wasn't sure about the fishing trip to start,but I assured her there was a private area to potty,(which isn't easy find on a small private charter) it was only us and we caught alot of fish at the end of day we knew we had found someone to take us out for many more trips! We highly recommend him and his services

8 hour Destin Fishing Rodeo
Best Trip I’ve Been On
This was easily my favorite fishing trip I’ve experienced. We caught all types of fish using different techniques and tackle. Started off trolling and then transitioned to some bottom fishing. Hooked up on amberjack, red grouper, kingfish, trigger fish, snapper, Almaco, and presumably a few sharks. Even landed a massive Amberjack that we were able to submit into the Destin Rodeo. Captain John really helped make the trip, he was awesome. He went above and beyond anything I had experienced on previous trips. Very experienced and knowledgeable, he made sure he tailored the trip to what we wanted to fish for and how we wanted to fish. Very professional and organized (can tell he has military background) and someone who is just easy to be around and fish with. If you’re looking for a fishing trip in Destin/Fort Walton area, I Highly recommend Captain John!

Family Rodeo Fishing Trip
We had an absolute amazing time being on Catch 22 boat with Captain John! He and deck hand George were great at showing us how to reel in the fish. Definitely know where the fishing spots are and how to catch them. Caught a variety of fish including Scamp, trigger, black fin tuna, mingo, amber jack, red snapper, mangrove, mackerel, Bonita, shark and even an eel! Some that weren’t regulation but still fun to catch and see! As a bonus got to weigh in at the Destin Rodeo and get on the board! Hands down recommend Catch 22 Charters! Thanks John and George for an amazing day!

6 Hour Trip (AM)
Tuff conditions, but we prevailed!
I want to start this review that John has zero control over wind OR water...he is definitely not a water or wind bender. I mean, the dance he performed to change the weather conditions (as entertaining as it was) did not change anything!! On a serious note, before the charter, I told John that I had some bucket list fish I would like to catch. One being an Amberjack. We got a nice one as the 1st fish! And it was awesome! We did catch another Spanish Makrel and a Mingo that were keeper. Some red snapper and trigger fish that were too small. With the wind, waves and threat of severe weather, John made decisions to keep us on fish and be safe at the same time. Coming back from fishing, John was able to navigate the weather conditions to give us a safe and as smooth ride as possible (the waves were about 6 to 8 footers). I will absolutely book Catch 22 again and encourage anyone to do the same! Great trip John!!

Captain Nick Makes it so Easy Even Kids Can Do It
It was a fun morning! We caught 4 amberjacks! Captain Nick is very attentive and organized and made it a great experience for us, especially the kids. He took care and made sure everyone is comfortable. I totally recommend Catch 22 and Captain Nick. He’s awesome!
