The boat you'll be using is a 26' Key West center console powered by twin 200 HP Yamaha engine. It's equipped with GPS and a fishfinder for efficient navigation, a wireless trolling motor so you fish more discreetly, and a livewell to provide you with live bait. Up to 6 anglers can come aboard.

Using both light and heavy tackle, you can catch fish by bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, spinning, and popping. The species you can encounter on your trip include Red Snapper, Amberjack, King Mackerel, Cobia, Mahi-mahi, Vermillion, Porgy, Scamp Grouper, Gag Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, Spotted Seatrout, Gray Triggerfish, and Redfish SheepHead. You get to keep all the fish you catch and you're welcome to bring kids on your trip.

Captain Chris will take care of the fishing tackle, live bait, lures, as well as licenses. If you want him to, he can also clean and fillet your catch so it's ready for cooking as soon as you return home. Bring nothing but the snacks and drinks of your choice.

Great experience!

We had a great experience with Chris and Shelly! They were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and knew the area so well. They got us on the fish right away — the mingos were biting faster than we could bait our hooks!

When the waves stopped playing nice with our stomachs, they were so thoughtful and flexible. Instead of cutting the trip short or pushing through feeling sick, they gave us a scenic tour of the area and still made the experience enjoyable. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests having a good time. Highly recommend!

3 hour kids fishing trip

3 Hour Kids Trip Am on June 16, 2025 • 2 adults • 4 children

This was our first time on a private charter boat and Captain Chris and Caleb made the experience wonderful. We took our 4 young kids (ages 10, 8, 7, and 5) and Chris was very kind and courteous towards them. Our kids have never fished before and I am so thrilled I let my husband talk me into this activity. Captain Chris made sure each of our kids caught a fish while learning how to fish at the same time. He helped the experience by taking pictures of the kids and even encouraged taking a family picture. If we make it out to Fort Walton again, we will be booking another trip! Do not hesitate and take book with Captain Chris!

The Absolute Best Charter Out There!

Been on multiple charters before and this was far and away the best one we’ve ever been on. Chris made sure we were on fish and stayed on them. He made my wife and kids feel like family and his son, Keith, was amazing as he helped my boys land fish and keep everyone baited up. Absolutely amazing experience for all of us and I couldn’t be happier with my choice to go with Shoal River. We landed multiple species and had lines in the water constantly due to the hard work of Chris and Keith. Book a charter with these guys, you will not be disappointed at all. We will definitely be back!!

A great fishing trip !!

This was most of our first time deep sea fishing. The captain was very knowledgeable and make it a great experience. We got to catch some big fish as well. Even with the waves being pretty strong the experience was well work it. We will definitely be back

Great Time and Great Captain!

5 Hour Offshore Trip - 1:00 PM on March 24, 2026 • 2 adults

Captain Chris got us on fish quickly and was very attentive. We were able to land several species and had a great time. We were hoping to take home fish for family, and he made it happen.  Boat was well maitained and easy to find.  We left with a cooler of fish and sore arms. Will definitely be a repeat customer.
