Flounder, Blacktip Shark, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Bull Shark, Tiger Shark, Alligator Gar, Jack Crevalle, and more inhabit these waters if you come at the right time of year. On these trips, it’s common to drift and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Steel Salty Charters welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!

Your fishing machine for the day is a 24’ Bay boat with room for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain has rods and reels for you. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!

You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It’s recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
