Extreme Sportfishing welcomes you to the stunning waters of Lihue. With Captain Harry at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Great Barracuda, and anything else that bites. On these trips, you can expect to troll using heavy tackle.
Your day begins aboard a 35' Bertram offshore sport fishing vessel that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Great afternoon on the water!

We were surprised at how different the sea was (bigggg rolling waves) vs how gentle it looked from our lanai! The boat was very comfy with bean bag style seating and as a woman I noticed how extremely clean it was! Our captain and his first mate were awesome and tried their best to get us to the fish, but not even a bite. Darn! I would definitely recommend them and we'll try our luck again with these two. My only suggestion? They had a bungee rigged on the ceiling on one side of the inside cabin. Would have been nice to have one on the right side, too. My 91 year old father would have felt more stable with that "guide" for surer footing - especially if we heard "fish on!"...Thanks guys for a truly memorable few hours!

Top Notch from start to finish

I booked a 6hr trip for me and 5 of my family members. We had an Awesome day. We caught 8 tuna all together. 7 of the 8 were 20lbs-30lbs which was plenty big enough for us. I would 100% recommend Captain Harry and huis deck hand Mott. Mott had great energy the entire time and was able to guide us on how to use the rods properly to ensure we brought the fish in. We only took one finish thinking it was going to be enough to feed our family of 12 but it went fast do I messaged Captain Harry to see if we could possibly get one more to take back and he was more than accommodating. Coming to Kauai, I highly recommend booking this charter.

Great captain and first mate!

Captain Harry and his first mate Tom had us on fish all morning. These guys are definitely professionals and we would gladly book with them again next time we are in Kauai. Our two children accompanied us on the trip, ages 14 and 11, and enjoyed hanging out on the two large bean bags located on the boat as we trolled for sport fish. Such a great touch to keep kids entertained for the 6 hour trip. Caught a nice Yellow Fin Tuna and Mahi Mahi. Lost a big fish but that’s just part of the game. Totally worth the money! Thanks for the awesome experience guys.

Two Marlin!

What an incredible trip we had! We took our family of six and the captain and crew were incredibly helpful and kind. We were so shocked to catch two giant marlin! On the 2nd marlin, each person in our family took turns reeling it in. It was a team effort. The crew and captain helped to swap in and out easily. He even gave us some tuna so we could take it home and cook. We were really impressed how ethical the captain was in not keeping the two Marlin since he already caught one from the day before with a previous trip.

We had a great experience, great boat, great crew! Didn’t catch anything, but Captain Harry and Mate Mot did their damndest to find fish…would book again, will recommend…probably book the 6 hour trip next time instead of 4, time flies when your having fun, even if the fish aren’t biting. We will be back for our redemption. Consolation prize was seeing dolphins!Thank you Captain Harry! Thank you Mot!
