Spend the day with Lone Star Fishing Guide Service and get hooked on fishing in Lake Conroe! Your guide for the day is Captain Ryan, allowing you to benefit from years of sportfishing experience.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Crappie, Hybrid bass, Catfish, and whatever else takes the bait. On these trips, you can expect to jig using light tackle. Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.

You'll be welcome aboard a 20' Pontoon with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided. You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.

It's always wise to bring drinks, snacks, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Fishing cleaning not included but can be arranged for a small fee.

Great Fishing Trip!!!!

My friend and I had a fantastic time fishing with Captain Ryan Moss. We booked a 4-hour fishing trip, and the entire experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Captain Ryan made everything easy by providing all the fishing equipment, bait, and gear we needed. All we had to do was show up with a few snacks and be ready to fish.
Captain Ryan was professional, knowledgeable, and focused on making sure everyone had a great experience on the water. Whether you're an experienced angler or a first-time fisherman, he creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere while helping you maximize your time fishing.

Nice break from a busy week!!!!

Catfish Trip- Morning on June 3, 2026 • 1 adult

Took an opportunity to fish this morning. Captain put us on fish early and we caught all morning. Caught our limit and now ready to share my bounty. Boat was vey nice, clean & well kept. Captain new lake like “ back of his hand”. He Put us on fish and moved to more fish each time. I highly recommend the captain, boat and fishing.

Awesome Day on Lake Conroe

Catfish Trip- Morning on March 20, 2026 • 3 adults

Weather was perfect. Met up with CPT Ryan for yhe 8am fishing trip, loaded up the boat and off we went! CPT Ryan took us around to a few of his favorite spots. There were three of us who he took care of. Lots of great conversations,  tips on fishing and successful catches. We did a good job of filling the cooler with catfish. At the end, he was kind enough to fillet are entire catch. We left for home with plenty of fillets and smiles on our face. Thank you CPT Ryan!

Great Day of Fishing With My Son

It was a little windy but it did not make a difference as Captain Ryan knew calm places to go catch a whole bunch of fish.  He even gave great tips on how best to cook them, tested it that night and they were perfect.

Really enjoyed the knowledge and lessons Ryan shared with my 12 year old that is starting to get into fishing - he left super excited saying it was the best thing about spring break!
