Your day begins aboard a 23' Center console with space for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided. You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. You can't go wrong when you bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Stripers Galore!

Awesome day fishing with captain James. We headed out early at 6am because he said it would be better for striped bass and boy was it. We started in one spot and they weren’t hitting so we quickly moved and then found a spot where they were on fire! All keepers! We even caught some large cats. Once stripers quit hitting we moved on to catfish and caught a bunch! Awesome trip! Boat was awesome too. Great electronics and captain James even taught me how to read the sonar. After all this he cleaned and bagged all the fish! Highly recommend him. Had my wife and two pre-teen kids with us and it was great.

Fantastic Trip!

We are so glad we booked our first Lake Conroe fishing trip with Captain James and Fish Head Water Sports! Our Captain had extensive knowledge of the lake and knew how to find great pockets of fish. I have been fishing before, but my wife was new to this. Captain James had her pulling them up in no time. She had a blast and now wants to fish more so big bonus. We ended the day with 45 so it was quite the catch. (Although my wife caught another catfish and a bluegill with her new hobby from our deck after we got back so 47 for the day)
We would highly recommend Captain James- He was friendly and adept at getting around the lake and finding the fish. Beautiful views and at days end he filleted all our fish. We will definitely book him again for our next tour!

Great trip

My wife and I went out for a 5 hour trip. We left the dock at 6 am to start our fishing trip for hybrids. We caught 2 hybrids that were keepers and caught some more hybrids that unfortunately werent keepers.
The bite slowed down a little where we were but
fortunately the captain knew other spots to go fishing.
The next fish on our list to catch was catfish. We
ended up with lots of catfish between my wife
and I. We also caught some yellow bass , and
fresh water drum. We highly recommend using
fish head water sports guide services !
The captain also filets your catch and bags it for you!
5/5 stars and definitely will use them again !

Captain James was very knowledgeable about the lake and clearly had lots of experience. He worked hard to make sure our entire group was catching fish. The morning started out a little bit slow but James did everything he could to put us onto some fish: tried several spots, different bait and hooks. Eventually we all started catching. This was my two teenage brothers’ first time going out and James was patient, encouraging, and informative. Overall a fun experience.

Enjoyed our morning with Captain James going catfishing! The weather was nice and peaceful to go out on the lake. Captain James was very knowledgeable about getting us to the good fishing spots and educated us some on how to read the fish finder. We really enjoyed our trip and would highly recommend Fish Head Water Sports!
