Book your next trip with Big Blue Sportfishing Charters and find out what the fishing in Jacksonville is all about. Your guide for the day is Captain Reilly, which means you’ll tap into years of angling experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Cobia, King Mackerel, Gag Grouper, Vermilion Snapper, Flounder, Blacktip Shark, Sailfish, Black Seabass, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Freshwater Drum, Blackfin Tuna, and whatever else takes the bait. You can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Reilly can also take you Flounder gigging.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 39’ Center console with room for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat. Just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Young ones are welcome, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Don’t forget to bring snacks, drinks, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Big Blue Sportfishing Charters!
