Year-round you can target Walleye and let us tell you they don’t call it the Walleye Capital of the world for nothing! The Yellow Perch fishing in the fall is world-class. Erie has world-class smallmouth bass fishing but it’s somewhat seasonal so inquire best times to target.
Trips with Lake Erie Sportfishing Charters are child-friendly! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, dont worry we have two aboard for children under 90 pounds! If you need more than two please ask!
Your trip begins aboard a 27’ Baha Cruisers walkaround with space for 6 adults. It has all-new Garmin electronics and Garmin autopilot to do the heavy lifting keeping you on the fish while you are busy reeling them in! Capt. Tyler has rods and reels for you, along with lures everything you need to catch fish. You just need to bring a good attitude and willingness to learn. This is a very high-level tournament-style fishing! You can get right in there and set lines with us or just do the fun stuff and reel them in once we are hooked up!
Before coming aboard, be sure to have local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. You can’t go wrong when you bring sunblock, a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Waters/light snacks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

The captain was very knowledgeable and willing to explain the techniques to us. We had two younger kids with us and he was more than willing to help them learn and succeed in our trip. The moment we got to the fishing grounds we had no stop action and barely ever had a time when all our gear was out because the fish were biting as quickly as we could get them out. I highly recommend great with children!

Incredible experience. This was our groups second trip with Captain Tyler and was phenomenal. We caught our limit within a couple hours. Even if we never achieved our limit of walleye which seems to happen often for others, Captain Tyler is extremely personable and an excellent teacher for new anglers. Always willing to listen to stories and contribute to conversations. Not to mention, he understands everyone makes mistakes and not to be afraid of them. When a mistake is made, he is open and willing to explain how to prevent them. Thank you Captain Tyler for another sick trip!

Half Day Trip– Walleye or Perch(AM) on September 22, 2024
We’ve done quite a few charters over the years but Cpt Tyler takes the cake as being the best experience we’ve had thus far. This was my 10 year old son’s first experience on Lake Erie, which Cpt Tyler knew ahead of time. And he was so focused on making sure that my son had an amazing time, which he did! He(Cpt Tyler) has young kids as well so he could relate to my sons excitement and was very patient with him and worked with him on how to “feel” the bites and makes sure he had an unforgetable time! We are absolutely going to plan a trip with him again and can’t wait for our next experience! If you’re looking for a great time with a great crew then Cpt Tyler is the man for the job! Full Day PM trip Perch/Walleye on July 3, 2025
Only the second time we’ve ever been out on Lake Erie we booked a two day charter one day walleye one day perch talk to several captains wasn’t time for perch yet and getting late in the season for walleye, but the two captains that took us out hit our limit at both days. I don’t know if it’ll be this year, but I do plan on coming back during the peak season for walleye and perch. Had a couple great cruise that really cared if we was catching fish or not

4 Hour Walleye Trip
Half Day Trip– Walleye or Perch(AM) on November 2, 2024
Dustin and his partner were amazing! Dustin put us on fish immediately and we never missed a beat after that! Once the four hour mark hit and we were less than 10 fish away from our total limit he offered to extend the trip another hour for a small fee. We got 67 pounds of walleye in 5 hours and trust me there were some tanks! Him and his partner were super great with explaining the anatomy of the lake to our group and also helping and being patient with us learning how to troll the way we did! Highly recommend this charter to anyone and everyone! Thanks Dustin!
