Year-round you can target Walleye and let us tell you they don’t call it the Walleye Capital of the world for nothing! The Yellow Perch fishing in the fall is world-class. Erie has world-class smallmouth bass fishing but it’s somewhat seasonal so inquire best times to target.

Trips with Lake Erie Sportfishing Charters are child-friendly! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, dont worry we have two aboard for children under 90 pounds! If you need more than two please ask!

Your trip begins aboard a 27’ Baha Cruisers walkaround with space for 6 adults. It has all-new Garmin electronics and Garmin autopilot to do the heavy lifting keeping you on the fish while you are busy reeling them in! Capt. Tyler has rods and reels for you, along with lures everything you need to catch fish. You just need to bring a good attitude and willingness to learn. This is a very high-level tournament-style fishing! You can get right in there and set lines with us or just do the fun stuff and reel them in once we are hooked up!

Before coming aboard, be sure to have local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. You can’t go wrong when you bring sunblock, a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Waters/light snacks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

Couldn’t ask for a better trip!

We put our trust in Captain Dustin for our son’s birthday gift and he did not disappoint. We did a 4 hour walleye trip and it was amazing! Dustin and his 1st mate, Bob knew where to find fish and how to put them in the boat. More importantly, they devoted a lot of attention to teaching the boys how to find fish and about the fishing rigs - how they work and how to deploy them. By the half way point of the trip, my son was setting rigs out on his own, it was awesome! I very much appreciate how the capt. engaged us in the entire process. The boat, the gear, the equipment were all top notch and The crew was amazing. We caught a variety of fish, including several walleye, white perch, yellow perch, sheepshead. The trip exceeded our expectations. The only change I would consider for our next trip is to go a full day instead of a half day! Go with Capt. Dustin and do a full day trip; you wont be disappointed!

Man hearing those words makes everything we do all worth! Nothing like spending quality time on the water with quality people like you! I hope those boys never give up their passion for fishing! They are great young men the kind that I would put through captain schooling and give them a job running their own boat if they are serious when the time comes! Great trip!

Full Day AM Trip – Trophy Walleye on August 2, 2025 • 2 adults • 2 children

Captain Dustin was a great captain. Worked with us to explain what we were doing showed us how to do some of the set ups. Also, we ran several lines from each side with big boards was a great experience to not only fish, but also learn how to do it. Great experience for myself my son and friends. Even with a hard day while fishing as it’s warm this time of the year we still caught several fish overall including a 27 inch walleye and several other great keepers. Definitely plan to return to fish with Captain Dustin again hopefully in the spring when more fish are in the area.

Great fishing trip with Captain Tyler!

Highly recommend Captain Tyler for an unforgettable fishing experience! If you have kids who want to try fishing, he’s absolutely the guide to go with. Captain Tyler is incredibly patient and knows exactly how to get the kids engaged—he teaches them in a way that’s fun, hand-in, and easy to understand. We had such a great day on the water that we have already booked an adult trip. Book with him—you won’t be disappointed!

Half-day Walleye Trip

Incredible experience. This was our groups second trip with Captain Tyler and was phenomenal. We caught our limit within a couple hours. Even if we never achieved our limit of walleye which seems to happen often for others, Captain Tyler is extremely personable and an excellent teacher for new anglers. Always willing to listen to stories and contribute to conversations. Not to mention, he understands everyone makes mistakes and not to be afraid of them. When a mistake is made, he is open and willing to explain how to prevent them. Thank you Captain Tyler for another sick trip!

I would highly recommend this charter to anyone. Even though the water was extremely rough during our trip the captain kept everyone safe and made sure we had a good time and caught plenty of fish. If you are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced captain to lead your group on a successful fishing trip you can't go wrong with captain Tyler.
