I have been charter fishing in Alaska for over 30 years and for over twenty years in Ketchikan.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard!
Snacks, soft drinks, bottled water and hot coffee are provided.
If you are arriving via a cruise ship, I offer hourly start times throughout the day. Please select a start time in the hour after your ship docks. For example, if your ship arrives at 7 am select the 8 am time. If you arrive early that's fine, I will be all ready to go!
Your vessel for the day is a 30' C-Hawk cuddy cabin vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. Your license can be purchased online from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game website.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat.

4 Hour Trip – Salmon Fishing on June 8, 2025 • 4 adults
Our family had a great time fishing with Joe. He kept us up to date on all trip details up to the point we arrived.
Great boat, great equipment, and most of all great knowledge of where to catch the fish. We caught our limit of halibut and the let several more try again. We had a few other surprises like a nice Pacific cod, spiny rockfish and a spiny dogfish. On the way back we caught and released a small king salmon (jack).
Joe showed us a great time, shared his knowledge, and was very patient.
