Morrell Fishing Adventures – Headwaters Lake 

Just so many great things to say, but to sum it up simply, wow.. From the moment you walk on to captain Valerie’s boat you know you are going to catch some big bass. She immediately put us on multiple 4 pounders. She knows every inch of the lake, and it shows. We came with the hope of catching a trophy bass, and before we were done my son pulled in an 8.5 pound lunker. What an absolute rush! Truly a memory he will keep for the rest of his life. If you want the best “big bass Becky” is who you should book with. The best guide, the best boat, the best spots, the best fish. We couldn’t be happier, and we will be back.

Had an absolute blast on this charter — we put 60 bass in the boat and didn’t slow down once. Valerie is the real deal: super friendly, all business, and clearly knew every inch of the water. She put us on fish immediately and kept us on them all day. No wasted time, no guesswork — just results. Valarie put us on an absolutely incredible day out on Headwaters Lake! From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and just plain fun. Her knowledge of the lake and ability to find fish was seriously impressive—we were on bass all day long. We ended up catching 74 fish, which is just unreal. The action never really slowed down, and Valarie kept us dialed in with the right spots, techniques, and tips. She was patient, encouraging, and clearly passionate about what she does, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking to have an amazing bass fishing trip, I can’t recommend Valarie enough. Already looking forward to the next trip!

Booked a half day AM trip for Father’s Day weekend and we are glad we did. Captain Valerie is extremely knowledgeable and has some great spots. Put us on just under 50 fish (48 to be exact). We even got out a little bit earlier than planned to beat the heat and get some better fishing in. Thank you again for a great weekend happy to add another trophy to the growing list!

Valerie was awesome. she knows the lake like the back of her hand. she is knowledgeable about everything from the area and animals on top of her fishing knowledge. got my PB at almost 5 lbs just to catch a 10 pounder 2 hrs later in 105 degree sun. if you wanna catch fish, book valerie and buy the shiners.

I had my 2 grandson's age 13 and 10 with my son-in-law for 6 hour charter..from beginning to the end Valerie efforts to make sure the boys had success and fun were met ..her patience with the 2 boys was amazing..her instruction on casting and knowledge of the lake and where the fish were biting made a huge impact on them..29 bass were caught and some were lunkers..I would highly recommend Valerie especially if you have children that love to fish

To be completely honest, I was hesitant when I saw our fishing guide was going to be a female. What a fool I was. Valerie hit it out of the park and knew far more about the lake than what appeared to be any other guys fishing around us. We caught 67 largemouth bass, all of decent size. She’s my go to guide from now on. Absolutely fantastic.

I have taken guided trips in Canada and across the USA. We had a great time with time with Valerie. She worked hard to put us on fish, right after a cold front. We caught 22. She is a protégé of Roland Martin. You will have a good time. Come ready to have a good time!

Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Headwaters today with Captain Valerie. We caught some quality fish and laughed and cut up like we had been friends forever! Captain brings a little different technique to the game that truly sets her apart! I’d highly recommend her!
