Largemouth Bass and more inhabit these waters, depending on the season. You'll target your catch with artificial baits, live wild shiners, or both!
You'll be welcomed aboard a 21' Blazer 625 Pro Elite Bass boat with space for 4 passengers. It comes pro-level loaded with 3 to 4 Lowrance HDS live graphs with std, down scan, side scan, live scan, 10' power poles, and a 36v Lowrance ghost trolling motor for the clients to find their Florida trophies! Valerie will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It's recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Long sleeve wicking or fishing shirts are recommended along with buffs and hats. It's Florida and you can burn year-round. Ice and bottled water will be available for you. Clients are encouraged to bring snacks, sodas, or sports drinks if they prefer. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. No glass bottles.

Valarie put us on an absolutely incredible day out on Headwaters Lake! From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and just plain fun. Her knowledge of the lake and ability to find fish was seriously impressive—we were on bass all day long. We ended up catching 74 fish, which is just unreal. The action never really slowed down, and Valarie kept us dialed in with the right spots, techniques, and tips. She was patient, encouraging, and clearly passionate about what she does, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking to have an amazing bass fishing trip, I can’t recommend Valarie enough. Already looking forward to the next trip!
Booked a half day AM trip for Father’s Day weekend and we are glad we did. Captain Valerie is extremely knowledgeable and has some great spots. Put us on just under 50 fish (48 to be exact). We even got out a little bit earlier than planned to beat the heat and get some better fishing in. Thank you again for a great weekend happy to add another trophy to the growing list!
Had an absolute blast on this charter — we put 60 bass in the boat and didn’t slow down once. Valerie is the real deal: super friendly, all business, and clearly knew every inch of the water. She put us on fish immediately and kept us on them all day. No wasted time, no guesswork — just results. Best trip I've ever had on Headwaters. Captain Valarie could probably find fish in the desert. Released 47 bass including numerous 5lbers, several 6lbers and the last fish of the day was a little over 7lbs. Definitely recommend Captain Valarie if for nothing else, all the great stories she has!!
Capt V was great...my son and I caught over 40 fish on 4hr trip a few 5-6 pounders...great stories, great fishing, and so informative...would recommend her to anyone.
