Me and my 11 year old son had a blast catching fish with Captian Justin as our guide. I am glad we opted to go with live bait/ shiners as that brought in the most fish but we did get a few on artificial baits as well. 6 hours trip, almost 20 bass, I lost count. No fish over 4 pounds, but thats kind of how it goes some days. If your thinking of doing this, definitely go for 6 hours. 4 hours went by so fast and I was glad we got the extra time.

Fished with Captain Chris Novak and we put a pretty good hurtin on em’. We probably caught around 25 total (lost count), the biggest just shy of 5 lbs. Chris kept entertained and on our toes with his funny and whitty sense of humor. He was also very flexible and allowed us to fish with live bait and use artificials. My father-in-law and I are excited to go book the trip again next time I’m in town or next time he has family come to visit.

My ten year old and I went out with Captain Bill and had intense action for 4 straight hours. 48 in the boat. Several doubles and even a triple. Captain Bill knows where to find then and knows how to get us on them.

We had a great day of fishing on Headwaters with Captain Bill, boating over 40 bass! We threw some topwater lures a few places with no takers, but the fish loved the shiners. Jazz got his personal best and I came close. This is also a lovely place for bird and gator watching without any highway or construction noise.

Hello, I am Captain Bill and a licensed master captain. Originally born in Iowa and raised on the Mississippi River. I've been fishing ever since I was a little kid. I caught the Bass fishing bug early in life. When I was younger, I found an old Johnson spoon in my father's tackle box, tied it on, and caught a Bass. Instantly hooked on fishing, my pursuit of a career in it was inevitable. Living on the river where his family owned a campground and bait shop, he has been putting people on fish for years. He has been married for 21 years and is a father of 4 and grandfather of 1. He heard about Headwaters Lake being open, so he moved to Florida to pursue his dream of being the first full-time fishing guide on Headwaters and now has a team of guides that work with him. Captain Bill and the team will help get you experience Headwaters and Stick Marsh like no other, producing beautiful trophy Largemouth Bass all day long.
