The fish in these waters include Striped Bass, Black Seabass, Bluefish, Tautog, Porgy, Flounder, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Little Tunny, and more. Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Dewey runs a 25' Center console with room for 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself. Kids are welcome on board.
It's recommended to bring snacks, sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Dewey, the captain, had expert knowledge of fishery—he put us on fish all day, and knew just how to target what I was after (stripers). Worked hard to make sure it was a great experience. Easy 5 stars. Hope I can get out there with him again in the future. Highly recommend!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on August 23, 2024 • 4 adults • 2 childrenEn route to go fluking, Dewey spotted some Spanish Mackerel and helped catch one for my son who helped reel it in. Later he found some mahi mahi and caught one for my daughter to reel in. My wife kids and I caught a lot of fluke, sea robins and skate along the way on our own as well. Dewey was helpful along the way and great for a trip with kids. I highly recommend!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on November 17, 2023For someone who is a little uneasy at sea, Dewey was the perfect captain. I felt safe the entire trip, the outing was smooth, and he helped ease any concerns of mine. He was also extremely knowledgeable about fishing and made me enjoy the hunt! We caught fish at several different locations and I was able to use different rods, different bait, and different casting techniques.

Full Day Trip – Striper on November 1, 2023Capt dewey was a pleasure to fish with. He made the day with putting me on some spectacular NJ fishing. Caught some of the biggest fish with him. The boat is clean and rides fantastic and all the gear is top notch stuff. I highly recommend Capt Dewey and whitewater charters.

Half Day Trip – Bottom Fishing on September 16, 2023Capt Dewey took myself, brother, and 5yr old nephew out for a half day bottom fishing morning and we all had a great time! The boat was well equipped and Dewey knowledgeable of the different species we pulled up. My nephew even got to cast and catch some blue fish in the inlet on our way in. Lots of memories made, will be booking again.

What a tremendous day. Together, Captain Mike and Captain Dewey, have a combined 50+ years experience on the water. Mike has been running commercial fishing boats for more than 40 years and comes with a wealth of knowledge of the local waters. Dewey is also a local yacht broker who has spent all his life on the water with the past 10 years being a local to LBI. The two work closely together with an open line of communication to provide the best charter experience possible in and around the waters of Barnegat Light all the way offshore to the various canyons.
