There’s a fish with your name on it in Knysna and The Water Club will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Johan can tell you all about the local fishery.

These waters hold game fish like Kob, Leerfish (Garrick), Musselcracker, Javelin Grunter, and more with any luck. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

Your adventure begins aboard a 21’ Tait Marine pontoon boat with room for 6 passengers. It has and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

Don’t forget to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is not allowed.
