Austin Charters Ice Fishing Lake George 

Rick Austin specializes in fishing the waters around Lake George and invites you along for a trip to remember.

The stunning scenery here includes remote lake waters, including some spots that only the locals know about.

Around here it's common to go light tackle fishing, which is how you'll get acquainted with these waters. You can also do a bit of jigging, bottom fishing, handlining, and maybe more your guide wants to show you. Rick will provide rods and reels, as well as lures and live bait.

These waters are known for Salmon, Yellow Perch, Lake Trout, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself!

Fish that meet size and bag requirements are yours to keep. That's dinner, right there! Up to 4 anglers can join these excursions. You'll be fishing without a boat, so expect to make your way on foot at least part of the time and come dressed for current weather conditions.

Everyone in your group should buy a local fishing license ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. Be sure to dress in layers and suitable footwear (if you aren't sure what that means, just ask). It's never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunscreen, and sunglasses, no matter the weather.

Children are welcome to come along. Remember to ask if child-sized life vests are available; otherwise, you'll have to bring your own.
