The boat is a wonderful 26' Steiger Craft pilothouse, able to comfortably hold 4 anglers at the same time. It's powered by a 300 HP Volvo Penta engine, guaranteeing you get to the fishing quickly and not waste any time. A full-head enclosed toilet is available on board, ensuring comfort in almost any situation.
The charter provides customers with excellent equipment from Daiwa and Akuma, allowing you to be 100% focused on the fishing. Brand-new electronic equipment is also in place to track that hot bite, as well as a wireless trolling motor, so you can sneak up on the catch.
Captain Rick Austin has over 40 years of fishing on this lake and he's eager to share his tricks and secret fishing spots with the customers. There's no minimum age for children and you're welcome to bring them aboard so they can learn the thrill of fishing. A great morning on Lake George with Captain Rick and Mark. After booking, Captain Rick reached out to confirm our trip and followed up to discuss the forecasted rain. Despite the poor weather and whitecaps, we caught two lake trout within the first hour of our trip. When the bite slowed, Rick and Mark kept working hard, constantly reorienting the boat and using the radar to search for fish. They were friendly, upbeat, and a pleasure to spend the morning with. We appreciated their effort, professionalism, and dedication. We’ll gladly return for another trip on a day with better weather! 🎣
Captain Rick and crew were amazing, so knowledgeable about where to go and how to catch fish. We caught (and released) at least a dozen fish in the first hour! Beautiful boat, great crew, would highly recommend them!
Captain Rick and mate Mark are the best. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. We caught 13 fish and that was just an “ok day”. They are great teachers of fishing and by the end we were hooking our own. As my oldest son said “Im on” as he hooked his very own Lake Trout. I highly recomend and would definitely book again with Austin charters.
A great day on the Queen. Rick and Mark are super knowledgeable! My son and I learned a new technique that really hauled in some nice Lakers . Had well over 20 bites and put 14 in the net . Catch and release . The boat and equipment are well maintained and parking onsite was great ! Highly recommend to any angler looking for a great experience.
We had a great time, great Father & Son crew. Explained everything, helped out immensely. we caught 9 large Lake Trout in Lake George.
