Excited to go fishing on St. Helena Island? That’s what Creek Life Charters is here for! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Kevin can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Drum, Jack Crevalle, Redfish, Cobia, Black Seabass, Flounder, Bonnethead Shark, Spadefish, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Tarpon, Whiting, and whatever else is biting. On these trips, it’s common to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Capt. Kevin operates a 22’ Pathfinder bay boat with room for 5 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It’s always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now’s the time to experience fishing in St. Helena Island for yourself, with Creek Life Charters!
