If you're ready to experience fishing in Tampa, look no further than Nomad Charters.

These waters are known for Snook, Blacktip Shark, Tarpon, Spanish Mackerel, Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper, Redfish, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before 'Fish on!' You can expect to do some spinning, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Trips with Nomad Charters are kid-friendly, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own.

Your vessel for the day is a 22' E-Tech bay boat with a capacity for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

Don't leave home without sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.

GREAT GUIDE + GREAT GUY!!
Half Day Trip (AM) on June 14, 2024

We went fishing with Captain Lee for a Father’s Day outing that included my grown son and son-in-law. The first thing that really impressed me was that Captain Lee had gotten up way early and hustled to fill the live-well by 7:30am with way more baitfish than we needed, having to both use his cast net at dark-thirty, and then also run out to the Skyway to buy extra from a bait seller. My son rarely fishes so he needed some extra instruction from Lee, and within a few casts he was casting the bait good 40+ yards on target. The main thing was we really had a Great Time! -- Captain Lee is a great guy, is great company to spend time with, and he went the extra mile working to get us hooked up. His commitment even extended to generously giving us extra time well beyond our 1/2 Day trip to try one more spot because the catch was slow that day -- Super Appreciated! The bottom line is that Captain Lee goes the extra mile to make sure everybody gets hooked up, has a fun time, and his easy-going manner was a pleasure to be around. We will be booking with him again in the fall for a Birthday outing!

Reported catch:
Snook
Redfish

Capt. Lee runs trips out of Tampa aboard a 22' bay boat. These waters are known for Snook and Black Drum and he will show you how to catch them. With great knowledge of the area, he has a trick or two up his sleeve, and the only way to learn is to join him out on the water!
